Our girl, Lara Peake takes the lead in this exciting new four-part channel 4 drama. She shares the screen with Bafta Nominated, Daniel Mays. This project is cast by Daniel Edwards (Line of Duty, Mr Selfridge.
Lara joined Inspire Academy at 12 years old and is represented by Hamilton Hodell. We're hugely proud of her achievements and we'll be cheering her on every step of the way in what is sure to be an incredibly exciting career.
A short film made to evaluate the impact of the Nottinghamshire Police campaign 'StreetAware' which encourages young people to steer clear of gang culture, features Inspire Academy actors Leon Johnson, D'Sharn DeSouza, Shalis Bettison, Serena Norman-Thomas and Freya Devenport. We're really proud to support this work.
Iraina Han & Destini Mills take leading roles in the new NCTL Commercial Campaign. The aim is to encourage more people to enter the teaching profession.
Kurtis Lowe fronts the new commercial for Childline. Kurtis is now training at Oxford School of Drama on the three year acting course.
After receiving rave reviews at the SXSW film festival in Texas, this autumn, 'Spaceship' lands in UK Cinemas. Lara Peake (now represented by Hamilton Hoddell) is a lead role in this quirky coming of age story.
Eleni Gospel, Khaya Job, Alex Boden & Alice Peake all play supporting roles in the upcoming short film 'The Poison Tree'. The film will be circulating film festivals in early 2017.
You can catch Shalisha James-Davis on stage in the NYT Rep Season this autumn playing the role of Juliet in Romeo & Juliet.
Fearn joined Inspire Academy in June 2010 in our first 11-16 Wednesday Group. She spent 3 years in the 11-16's and 3 years in the Over 16's group. Her Inspire credits include: 'Gormenghast', 'Jerusalem' and Estella in the recent production of 'Great Expectations'.
She is a hugely talented actress and we're really proud of her for landing a place at one of the UK's leading drama schools. We'll support her every step of the way.
Each year, Inspire Academy embarks on a season of plays. This year 'Play Season' became 'Playtime' and we embarked on our most ambitious season to date. Every age group staged a production and the standard of talent coming through the group was outstanding.
Thank you to everyone involved with Playtime 2016. We're excited by the wealth of talent coming through the group and look forward to doing it all again next year.
Kurtis joined Inspire Academy in April 2007 and has since gone on to appear in countless productions within the group. As well as his credits within the group, Kurtis has filmed several projects including commercials for Reebok and the new NSPCC campaign.
Kurtis will be leaving Inspire in the summer of 2016 to take his place, along with only 18 others, on the three year BA Acting course at the world renowned Oxford School of Drama. Last year, the Oxford School was ranked in the top three drama schools in the UK, behind only Scottish Conservertoire and RADA.
It is an incredible achievement and a testimont to the training he has received at Inspire Academy. We will follow Kurtis's career closely and look forward to celebrating his successes.
Sam Pope is a young actor from a small village called Tibshelf near Mansfield in North Nottinghamshire. In 2015, Sam left Inspire Academy in the summer of 2015 to join the 1 year foundation course at East 15.
We're pleased to receive the news that Sam has been accepted on the three year course at Drama Studio London. He is a very talented young man and we predict a very bright future for him.
Shalisha trained with us here at Inspire Academy from 2007 - 2014. Shalisha took part in many productions with us and appeared in our first two London Showcases at The Soho Theatre & The Tristan Bates Theatre.
Since leaving Inspire and Nottingham for the bright lights of London, Shalisha has gone on to spend a year training with the National Youth Theatre, landing a lead role in the National Theatre production of 'Our Country's Good' and is now part of the prestigious NYT REP company, class of 2016.
We regularly keep in touch with Shalisha and we're thrilled to see her doing so well as a result of the training she received at Inspire Academy.
Atticus spent 4 years with us at Inspire Academy. He was part of the cast for our productions of 'A Beautiful Thing' and 'In Basildon'. After auditioning for drama schools in the UK and Stella Adler in New York, he was offered a place in New York. He flew out in September, 2015 to begin his training at the prestigious drama school whose alumni include: Salma Hayek, Harvey Keital and Robert DeNiro.
We regularly keep in contact with Atti and pleased to hear he is enjoying every minute of his American adventure.
