Rehearsals began at 10am, performance at 7pm. Our 11-16's were brave and incredible as they took on the challenge of doing a play...in a day! We were delighted to share the performance with a packed crowd in our studio!

We were delighted to welcome the unstoppable Niall Phillips from Lonesome Workshops in London. Niall delivered two incredible workshops, one for our 11-16's & the other for our Over 16's & Over 21's.

We are staging a showcase for casting directors and industry professionals on Monday 18th March, 2024. There will be two performances, the first at The Arts Theatre (Leicester Square), followed by an evening performance at RADA (Chines Street). We were thrilled to attend the London premiere of 'How to Have Sex' at BFI Southbank in early October 2023. The film stars our Lara Peake and features our Tinashe Darikwa, Luke Boydon-Jones, Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Daniel Poacher, Emily Healy, Evija Stepanenko, Isabelle Atkinson, Dorrie Watson, Sophie Small & Francesca Dowson.

We're now using Tagmin. It is the industry's leading client management system and has recently merged with Spotlight. Using this software will help us manage our clients more efficiently and ensure we're more effective in our communication with casting directors.

We recently had the privilege of welcoming Billy Ivory, the writer of 'Made in Dagenham', 'Torvill and Dean' (ITV) & 'Burton & Taylor' (BBC). Billy is visited our Nottingham Over 16's for a writing workshop, followed by a Q&A.

September was a great month for us! We dedicated every session, across every age group to screen acting. We spent the month exploring and learning techniques and skills for the screen.

We're so grateful to Mel from Sing It Bold Community Gospel Choir who delivered a gospel choir workshop at Inspire. The session focused on truthful storytelling through song, a great evening!

We were delighted and grateful to welcome the BAFTA award-winning casting director; Lucy Pardee to Inspire Academy. The workshop was exciting and informative, thank you Lucy!

We were delighted to welcome Jonny Boutwood to the Nottingham group for a workshop with our Over 16's. Jonny shared some valuable advice on self-taping and acting for camera. It was also great to finish off with a Q&A, hearing about his experience in helping to cast shows like 'Peaky Blinders' (BBC One), 'Boiling Point' (BBC One)

Our JOSH ROWLANDS has landed a significant role in a new TV drama. He has begun shooting in Manchester.
> Short Films begin in Nottingham
The Nottingham 11-16 & Over 16 groups have begun work on writing, creating and producing their own short films. The films will be screened later in the year at the Savoy Cinema in Nottingham.
> Ian Smith Workshop at Inspire
Hot on the heels of his recent Special Recognition Award from the CDG, Ian Smith recently visited our Nottingham Over 16's. He's responsible for the careers of some of our region's best talent, including; Samantha Morton, Jack O'Connell & Vicky McClure.

Our ARCHIE POOLE has successfully gained a place on the three-year acting BA course at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. He's off to London in September!
> Lara Dazzles in Cannes
Inspire Academy Alumni LARA PEAKE plays a lead in 'How to Have Sex'. The film took Cannes 2023 by storm and picked up the prestigious Uncertain Regard Award. The film features the voices of many Inspire Academy young actors and is released in the UK later this year.
